Age Groups

The KFIF is open to kids in the following age groups:

8-11
12-14
15-18

Categories

There are three different categories: 

Short Film
Animation
Music Video

Maximum Length: 5 minutes

Full Rules & Details

• The age groups are 8-11, 12-14, 15-18
• Three categories are available: Animation, Short Film, and Music Video
• 3 finalists will be chosen in each category at each age group
• All finalists will receive a prize
• Entries must be filmed and edited by person submitting
• You can order more t-shirts if wanted
• Maximum movie length is 6 minutes
• All movies must be PG or G
• Judges will decide if movie is appropriate
• You can submit more than one movie
• Winners will be announced at the festival
• Top three to five movies for each category and age group will be shown at festival
• All movies will be displayed on website starting a few days after the festival
• The winner of each category will receive prize money and gifts
• The age categories are as of August 1st 2017
